The Matrix! Well, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Other top picks:
Battlestar Galactica
Blade Runner
The X-Files
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
I couldn’t for the life of me find the actual list on the EW website so I can’t comment too much further. The thing that scares me about this list is that the original Star Wars can’t even be on the list…because it’s now been 30 years since it was released.
Yep, 30 years since Star Wars. I was 7 when I saw in the theater. I am getting freakin’ old. Dammit.

I agree with EW. Also keep in mind that Star Wars was nowhere near the production value of The Matrix in storyline, visual effects and real life characters. Star Wars seems a little “Silly” now.

The Matrix? The original was amazing, but was definitely cheapened by it’s 2 sequels. I’m more likely to agree with the Blade Runner….

I just picked up the Ultimate Matrix trilogy on HD-DVD, and am about to indulge in the guilty pleasure that would be a Matrix marathon. The first movie is pure ambrosia, and aside from a handful of unforgettable scenes, the latter two are not so close.
Interestingly enough, the packaging of the Matrix set included a little flyer announcing the forthcoming HD-DVD version of Blade Runner. Ka-ching…sold.
