It'll be interesting to see it move into DVD movies from now on. Atlantis is grand. As far as Sci fi, you are right, the future is bleak, though there are some fantasy/scifish pilots floating around (Reaper, Journeyman, Chuck, Pushing up daisies, Sarah Connor Chronicles and Bionic Woman). But really, where are the genre, arc driven Sci fi good stuff? Nothing...not even a crappy Mutant X to give us something Stargate was a fun finale. It’ll be interesting to see it move into DVD movies from now on.
