Doctor Who’s Harem

First we had Rose Tyler. Then we had Martha Jones. And now – just as U.S. audiences are being introduced to Martha – we’re told that the Runaway Bride, Donna, will be the next companion for series four. Martha will be returning mid-season as well.
I actually just caught the U.S. premiere of series three and enjoyed Martha very much. I’m concerned that the Runaway Bride was a bit whiny, but maybe she’ll calm down a bit once she’s a regular. So who’s your favorite companion for the new Doctor Who?

Well, I caught the run away Bride, and I agree she is a bit whinny- but it might be good for some stories for the Doctor to have a companion that’s not so into him. Unfortunately our VCR geeked out and I missed the first episode with Martha, so I don’t have an opinion of her yet.
Actually- I would love to see Reinette return from “Girl in the fire placeâ€; there was something more to her that could be fun to explore; not to mention that her character has the potential to rival the doctor and keep him on his toes.
Thanks for your post, I dig your two blogs.
Peace,
James

rose rose rose. Seriously. I want Rose to come back. Oh if Billie Piper would realize she was meant for the Who.

Martha Martha Martha! Sorry, Rose was a self-absorbed, bossy pain in the…elbow. But that’s just what I got from the character…
