The New Knight Rider - Beyond Bad!!

by stephanie, February 19, 2008

I’m an hour into the new Knight Rider and I’m watching only because I want to see David Hasslehoff. After that, I will never, ever watch this show again. I thought the new Bionic Woman was bad. This is a ten times worse. No, a million times worse. This has to be, in fact, the worst new show in 20 years, worse than the Blade television series.

It’s a shame too. They could have done something great with the concept. But a combination of bad writing, bad acting, and bad production just adds up to the worst new sci-fi show in recent memory. Continue reading The New Knight Rider - Beyond Bad!!…

The Strike is Over! More Lost!

by stephanie, February 13, 2008

The WGA strike is over, just in time to make more episodes of Lost this season. A brief review of what’s staying and what’s going sci-fi-wise:

Lost will have at least five more episodes filmed this season.
Reaper and Supernatural will be returning with more new episodes, hurrah.
Bionic Woman and Journeyman are canceled (good call).
Pushing Daisies is coming back in the fall for a proper relaunch by ABC (smart move).
Heroes will probably take the summer to regroup.
All episodes of the midseason Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles have been shot for now, no word on renewal for next year.

Eli Stone, Shades of Wonderfalls

by stephanie, February 8, 2008

Just caught Eli Stone after Lost - what a cute, funny show. It’s about a guy who has visions that tell him what court cases to take on. It is very similar to Wonderfalls - quirky, funny, with interesting characters. Lots of laugh out loud moments. Definitely worth a watch if you liked Wonderfalls.

Star Trek Movie Teaser Trailer

by stephanie, February 5, 2008

Here it is…ugh…J.J. Abrams looks to be making Star Trek into a pretentious overblown, serious drama. I have liked Abrams’s TV shows (Alias, Lost) but have no interest in seeing an Alias or Lost-like Trek.

The casting of Winona Ryder then confirmed it for me…this Trek movie will not be Trek. It was, after all, when people like Christian Slater started appearing in Trek films that they got bad. How about a Heathers-Trek?

Some Trekkies have a greater concern - the use of torture in Abrams’s other shows. Check out:
