I also think matrix was an incredible movie, and since I haven’t seen the Dark Knight, I am reserving judgment, at this point.
But I do want to point out that where or not you want to see a movie again isn’t really a criteria for whether it was the best movie or even just a great movie or not.
It could be a great movie, but have an impact on you that is unpleasant and that you do not wish to experience again… for example.

oh ya and fuck the matrix, it sucked int eh second movie and more int he third, this went the opposite way, the second movie was even better then the begining, which was fantstic. it’s a sad way the joker died, becasue Harley Quinn woulda been a good expanding villianess to explain a lot fo the joker there was some sort of character named to be in this one, but was probably put off to the 3rd

As a guy, i saw this movie with a sadistic version of Tyler Durden from Fight club as aJoker and a superhero like Batman, as a hero that has no superhuman powers but frankly a real guy. I could technicly be batman if i did enough pushups and had enough money. the fact they one fo the FIRST TIMES EVER in ANY ACTION MOVIE showed how he has a washboard abs by literally getting otu fo bed and dropping ont eh ground to do 1000 pushups. i robot will smiths CGI abbs that he just gets outta bed and sloths around, to have thoes abs he would have to be like Bruce Wayne. and there never will be a point where realism in sci-fi will be dated. if you take a look at the orignal sci-fi movies where there is 0 Realism and how over time it’s progressed more and more that not just sci-fi, but MAINSTREAM sci-fi has more realism, i tihnk it shows a trend. this is barley a sci-fi movie,but since star trek and star wars stole the cake and bad reasons for sci-fi plots (i.e. humanoids all over the galaxy, or godzillas that shouldn’t be able to walk on this sort of gravity) i tihnk people are starting to admire believability. look at you tube. it’s not popular because it’s all fiction.
2face was reworked to be the PERFECT villian to go with the joker. 2 monsters bred not from greed but from chaos. every batman hero in the 60′s verison of batman was based off of greed, this is the first genuine realistic villian. there is more crimes done senslessly then for reason. not every criminal is like the bad guys from Die Hard, with a full plot ready. the joker just did it from teh hip. Again like fight club it’s a very eastern approch very Zen.
